Certifications
✓BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required and
✓RDMS-Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required
Education
✓Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program Required
Qualifications
✓1-3 years of experience performing ultrasound examinations.
✓Skill in exercising initiative, judgment and decision-making in solving problems and meeting organizational objectives.
✓Knowledge of supervisory theory and methods sufficient to be able to perform a variety of supervisory functions.
✓Knowledge of anatomy sufficient to be able to position patients and locate anatomical area to be imaged.
✓Skill in using equipment and instruments common to ultrasound technology.
✓Knowledge of how to perform US imaging studies that is sufficient enough to adequately train subordinate sonographers.
✓Appropriate skill sets in maintaining accurate records concerning US examinations.
✓Knowledge of inventory practices sufficient to be able to preempt stock shortages and to maintain adequate par levels.
Some supervisory experience preferred.
