Supply Technician I - Full Time- Days

Responsible for delivering requested supplies and/or equipment to various user departments within the facility. Major Job FunctionsThe following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below.

In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:Performs scheduled rounds and delivers requested supplies and equipmentProvide supplies to walk-in customers and utilize proper documentation to ensure that supplies dispensed are issued to respective accountsProcesses pick tickets and stage appropriate orders for deliveries to external customersMay receive and deliver special delivery items (UPS, FedEx, etc.)Verifies correct supplies received, manufacturer codes, expiration dates and quantitiesUtilize applicable MMIS screens in the basic understanding of inventory management Safely operates manual or electric pallet jacks to deliver supplies and equipment to the requestorsPerform Supply Chain Courier tasks in their absenceAssists in periodic cycle counts, code date verification checks, as well as required Physical InventoriesProcess returned goods from various user accounts, verify correct paperwork is attached and credits supplies to appropriate accountsAccess MMIS system screens to ensure proper inventory decrements or credits, revise or void shipment prior to release, and ensure all MMIS Web Requisitions are printed and released properlyReceive Prime Vendor EDI transmissions into the MMIS system and verify pertinent informationIdentify discrepancies between packing slips and delivery tickets and documents all information to ensure proper credit or reshipmentInitiates proper communication to purchasing, vendor, or requestors regarding issues with inbound supplies and utilize proper documentation to assist in performance improvement processesVerify daily schedule and assigned courier routePerforms scheduled rounds and verifies pick-up and delivery of drugs and medications from Pharmacy upon emergent request from PharmacyReturn unused medications from units to Pharmacy and ensure proper documentation completed at end of each round upon emergent request from PharmacyPerforms all Stat runs as necessaryAssemble specialty kits to be restocked on the unitsIf necessary, work with the “point of use” system (Ex: OmniCell) in identifying issues related to supply inventory counts, expiration dates, and routine tasksSome individuals are not required to perform functions within the Supply (par) point of use system; however, in place of this requirement, the individual must learn specific tasks that need to be monitored and performed in Supervisor’s absenceOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsThe following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:Education and Formal Training: High school diploma or equivalent requiredValid NC Real ID driver’s license (or valid United States Passport if not Real ID) which will be verified by CFV Risk Management, to include obtaining inclusion in the CFV vehicle insurance programWork

3 months’ experience consistently performing tasks listed for Technician I required prior to competency sign off and consideration for training and advancement opportunities for Technician II required1 year of performing Technician II tasks on a regular basis for competency sign off of Supply Technician II required1 year previous hospital experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English languageAbility to interact with other employees in CS and other departments in the facilityExcellent customer service skillsEffective oral communication and critical thinking skillsFlexible to daily changes in operational and patient care issuesAbility to multi-task if necessaryDiscretion in the proper handling of confidential informationAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate these when necessaryPhysical
