  • Supply Technologist will perform the following duties under the direction of the Perioperative Supply Supervisor:To provide clinical oversight, coordination, organization, and timely procurement of specialty materials, supplies, instrumentation, and equipment for the various areas within Perioperative Services.Clinical resource for the acquisition of supplies, services, and equipment, inventory par levels, and inventory control.The primary liaison with vendor representatives for purchased, leased, and trial supplies and equipment for Perioperative Services.Work closely and in collaboration with Supply Chain Services, Perioperative Administration, and the Perioperative Staff and Physicians. ScheduleFTE: 1.0Hours: 8:00am

  • FridayLocation: Jacksonville, FL QualificationsEducationRequired: HS Diploma/GED and Vocational TrainingPreferred: Certified Surgical TechnologistSpecific course work: Graduate of surgical technologist programNecessary SkillsMust possess manual dexterity, computer skills, and be able to work under pressure.Effective oral and written communication skills.Must be able to read, spell and do simple math, write clearly and understand written and oral instructions.Need to have effective computer skills, including typing, and use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) Strong working knowledge of patient care and basic human needs throughout the life span.In depth knowledge of medical terminology.Strong working knowledge of acute and chronic disease processes.Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare teamDemonstrates a willingness to learn new methods, procedures and techniques resulting from departmental or organization change.Adapts quickly and easily to change and adjusted behavior and approach to work when necessary to achieve goalsLicensureRequired: BLS from American Heart AssociationCertificationRequired: NCCT or National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) within 6 months of date of hire or transfer.ExperienceRequired: 1
  • 2 years surgical scrub experience as a surgical technologist AND 1
  • 2 years of supply chain or relevant office environment experience.Preferred: 3
  • 5 years surgical scrub experience as a surgical technologist
