Facility: 101 Elm Ave - Roanoke Requisition Number: R163330 SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST - CMC Endoscopy (Open) How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare: Sign on Bonus $20,000 with relocation assistance up to $7,000. The Surgical Technologist supports perioperative care, maintains sterile fields, assists surgical teams, and ensures safe and effective procedures. The Surgical Technologist Participates in the delivery of individualized peri-operative registered nursing care under the supervision and guidance of a licensed physician or a registered professional nurse.
Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to assure quality patient care. Basic knowledge of instrumentations. Establish/Maintain sterile field and assure team maintains sterile environment.
Demonstrates correct and safe instrumentation passing. Participants in surgical counts (sponge, needle and instruments), per policy Adheres to Policy and Procedures, all regulatory standards and Patient Safety Goals. Participates in the nursing process for patients of all ages served.
Participates in unit educational activities. What We Require:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must qualify to practice as a Surgical Technologist under Commonwealth of Virginia requirements through an approved training or qualifying pathway. Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Registration with the Commonwealth of Virginia required as applicable under state law. Other
Basic knowledge of instrumentation required. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care. Must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and the ability to interpret patient information to identify age-specific and individualized patient needs and provide care in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

Compensation Range: $23.97 - $35.96 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
