Team Lead Catering

Job Requirements Main Function: To set-up, prepare, serve and clean-up catered affairs and fill supply requisitions as needed. Provides general direction to Diet Aides when assisting. Duties and

1. Check the catering calendar, reviews worksheets and check the catering bulletin board for messages frequently. 2. Sets up and delivers daily coffee carts to the Doctor’s Lounge and 7th Floor Lounge.

Checks daily and replenishes the EMS Lounge as needed. 3. Prepares cold food, salads, cold plates, relish trays appetizers, etc. according to instruction on catering sheets. 4. Fill supply requisitions and deliver as necessary – after signing off on form and receiving signature upon delivery. 5.

Responsible for set-up and clean-up of the boardroom on a daily basis. Ensure boardroom checklist is accurate and signed off daily. 6. Must pick up, clean and store all equipment and items used for special functions and coffee set-ups.

Clean and polish all equipment in slow periods or as requested. Be sure to soak all glass coffee pots. 7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the catering storeroom. 8 Wears proper attire designed by dress code.

Consistently wears I. D. badge. 9. Assist customers in a service oriented and courteous manner. 10.

Prepares evening snacks for 5 South/West. Checks daily with Diet Office for census and writes census on Snack sheet. 12. Delivers cookies to Doctor’s Lounge at 1:00 pm 13.

Ensures cleanliness, organization and stocking of basic needed items in the Gatch Kitchen. 14. Demonstrates the use of equipment in a safe and proper manner. 15. Performs other related duties as directed and assists in other areas of the kitchen as needed.

Work Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to read and write English.

2 years Food Service/Catering experience preferred. Contacts: All hospital personnel, patients and visitors. Physical Demands: Bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking and stands on feet most of the day.

Working Conditions: Kitchen environment (hot and cold temperatures) Hazards: Exposure to potentially hazardous equipment. Work area may have slippery floors.
