TMA- Trained Medication Aide

Job OverviewWe are seeking a Trained Medication Aide to support our residents in our Skilled Nursng Facility in Burnsville, MN. This role is responsible for providing senior resident care and services including administration of medications in our long term care and transitional care units under the direction of the nurse. Assists resident with personal cares based on individual plan of careObserves residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear, concise mannerAssists with admissions, transfers, and discharges as neededFollows all shift routines regarding measuring of vital signs, weights, and administration of medications and treatmentsDispenses meds using the right route, medication, resident time, and doseMaintains an awareness of actual and potential side effects, adverse reactions, contraindications and purposes of medicationsMaintains a clean medication cartRequired QualificationsNursing Assistant CourseMinnesota Nursing Assistant RegistryCompletion a standardized medication administration training program for unlicensed personnel in nursing homes which is offered through a Minnesota postsecondary educational institution.

This does not expire as long as they keep their NAR certification current.
