Responsibilities Staff Educator The Staff Educator develops, coordinates, facilitates, delivers, and evaluates new-hire orientation and ongoing education and training for Laurel Heights Hospital staff to support staff competency, regulatory compliance, employee development, and organizational excellence. This role provides education in response to employee needs and federal, state, local, and accreditation requirements; maintains proficiency in required training content to provide instructional coverage when other trainers are unavailable; and works with leadership, unit managers, Human Resources, and staff across all shifts.
The Staff Educator maintains a current HealthStream compliance tracker for assigned courses, due dates, expirations, and deadlines; follows up on approaching or overdue requirements; and maintains accurate, confidential, audit-ready completion records. Qualifications Education required: Bachelor’s degree and or 3 to 5 years as an educator in a hospital setting. Familiar with HealthStream, Handle With Care and Verbal De-Escalation a plus.
