Responsibilities Provide safe, timely transportation for patients throughout the hospital using wheelchairs and carts. Verify patient identity, communicate clearly about the transport process, and support patient comfort and safety. Respond promptly to transport requests, relay important patient information to care teams, and assist during urgent situations, including emergency response activities.

Follow safe patient handling practices and identify patient-specific needs to ensure quality care. Transport equipment and supplies between departments, maintain and sanitize transport equipment, and report maintenance concerns. Accurately document patient movement in electronic systems while adhering to HIPAA, infection prevention, OSHA, and hospital safety standards.

Help maintain a clean, organized environment and demonstrate professionalism in every interaction. Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent degree required .

Six (6) months of experience in customer service required . Previous patient transport experience preferred. License(s)/Certification(s): Basic Life Support (BCLS) through the American Heart Association required .

Management of Aggressive Behavior through the Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International Inc (MOAB) preferred.
