Licensure
✓Must possess current Radiography License as required by state board where services will be provided:
✓MD: Radiographer License through Maryland Board of Physicians
✓OH: Radiographer License through Ohio Department of Health
✓PA: No state licensure required
✓WV: Radiography License through West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board
Certifications
✓MD: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
✓OH: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
✓PA: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within Six (6) months of graduation from Medical Imaging program.
✓WV: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
✓Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
✓State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
✓They must also meet the required years of experience, degree, and certification to apply for the next level.
Education
✓Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
Qualifications
✓Ability to interact positively with patients, families, and members of the Health Care Team.
✓Ability to prioritize and deal with a variety of situations simultaneously.
✓Ability to improvise with altered positioning techniques, manipulation of the equipment, and accessory devices when routine positioning is compromised due to patient’s condition, age, or ability.
✓The Radiology Technologist Clinical Ladder is a system-wide clinical advancement program to enhance professional development, provide a reward system for quality clinical performance, promote quality imaging care, and improve job satisfaction for respiratory therapists.
✓To apply for the next level, the Radiology Technologist must meet the requirements of their current level.
✓Level 1
✓All Radiology Technologists with less than 12 months of experience enter at Level one.
