Unit Secretary - Skilled Nursing Unit

The Unit Secretary provides clerical support for the functions of the clinical unit. The Unit Secretary receptionist duties include greeting visitors in a friendly manner, courteously answering the telephone and taking accurate messages, and maintaining communication with physicians, ancillary departments and supervisors. Enters and updates computer information.

Assists in maintaining supplies for the unit. Ensures proper handling of patient charts from admission to transfer, to include assembly and disassembly, completion of orders, posting reports, maintenance of appropriate forms, and obtaining previous charts.
