Vascular Surgery - Physician Assistant - PRN

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Vascular Surgery team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital.

We're helping move cardiovascular care forward regionally and nationally through our MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute, with clinical research, better diagnostic tools, and advanced treatments that are always patient focused. This is a PRN position - REQUIRING between 1-2 shifts weekly (estimated between 6-8 per month). Primarily the duties of the role will be pre and post op care, determining plan of care, H&P’s, document progress notes, provide patient education, conduct follow ups cardiac evaluations, and respond to urgent clinical inquires.

The shifts will include days, evenings and weekends and be a commitment of at least one shift per week. The ideal candidate will have background experience in vascular surgery or surgical setting but are open to new graduates. For more information on our Vascular care team click below: https://www.medstarhealth.org/info/care/mhvi-heart-and-vascular Minimal Qualifications Education Graduation from a Physician Assistant Program or Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program required; and Bachelor's degree required; and Master's degree required (PA or AGACNP) Licenses and Certifications Current license with the Maryland Board (depending on professional desgination) required; and CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required; and ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required This position has a hiring range of USD $95.00 - USD $95.00 /Hr.
