Certifications
✓Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the specialty(ies) as appropriate or registry eligible.
✓If registry eligible, must obtain ARDMS (RVT) registration within 12 months of hire date.
✓LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Basic Life Support
RVT preferred
Education
✓Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program that is accredited
Associates Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
Qualifications
✓For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team
✓Neonates, Infants, Children, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
✓On-call: Rotation required
✓Schedule requirements: Required to regularly rotate through days, evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary
At least two years of ultrasound with six months in an on-site apprenticeship with a Vascular Laboratory preferred
