We are seeking an experienced, clinically strong Assistant Nurse Manager to oversee clinical operations, staff development, and quality patient care in our high-acuity Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the night shift.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise night-shift ICU clinical operations, patient flow, and nurse-to-patient staffing assignments. Mentor and evaluate staff RNs, assist with onboarding/competencies, and promote a culture of safety and shared governance. Act as a clinical resource, periodically delivering direct critical care nursing as needed.
Partner with Nursing Leadership and the Magnet Program Director to uphold evidence-based standards and Joint Commission safety goals. Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Active, unencumbered New York Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Minimum 2+ years of relevant acute care critical care / ICU nursing experience; prior charge nurse or supervisory leadership experience strongly preferred.
Current AHA BLS required; AHA ACLS required. Specialty certification (CCRN or CNML) preferred (or obtained within 3 years of hire).
