5×8s | 40 hours/week💰 Weekly Gross: Up to $1,600/week travel | $1,540/week local Position DetailsSeeking an experienced LVN/LPN to provide nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs.40 hours guaranteed per weekMust be flexible to work 16-hour shifts when neededShifts may alternate based on staffing needsEvery 3rd weekend off on a rotational schedulePatient ratios are generally 9–10 patients, depending on acuity and functioning levelInfirmary assignments have approximately 15 patients with 3–4 RNs and a charge nurseResponsibilitiesProvide direct nursing care and supportAdminister medications and treatmentsProvide medication educationComplete required documentationPerform nursing assessments and other basic and complex nursing tasksCommunicate effectively with the healthcare team, support staff, providers, and patientsComputer documentation/data entry with training providedRequirementsActive Texas LVN/LPN License1+ year of direct-care nursing experience; 2+ years preferredExperience managing a larger medication passExperience in nursing homes, skilled nursing, acute care, or similar settings preferredStrong experience with advanced skills such as:G-tubes/enteral feedingsFoley cathetersTracheostomiesOther complex nursing careCurrent CPR certificationMust be able to successfully complete required background and drug screeningIdeal CandidateComfortable working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesIndependent and confident with medication administrationComfortable in a fast-paced environmentFlexible with floating and changing assignmentsStrong communication and teamwork skills💰 Travel Pay Package40 hours/week$15/hr taxable$1,000/week housing stipend$1,600 gross/week💰 Local Pay Package40 hours/week$38.50/hr$1,540 gross/weekOrientation: Approximately 6 weeks total, including classroom education, nursing training, and preceptor/on-the-job training.
