Cath Lab Rad Tech Requirements Cath Lab experience required.
6:30 AM–5:00 PM, 4 days/week; minimum 9 shifts/month. On-call rate: $10/hour. 24-hour weekend call coverage on Saturdays and Sundays. Must be within 30 minutes of the facility when paged.
Must know C-arm operation and routine lead maintenance. Fluoroscopy certification required. Must assist with cardiac catheterization procedures and PCIs.
Must know how to insert Impella and balloon pump devices. Must scrub IR procedures, including nephrostomy tube, PICC, Permacath, pacemaker insertion, and cerebral thrombectomy. RT must have skills equivalent to an RCIS.
