The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Care is provided using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources within the institution's philosophy. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring safety and effective communication.
Required
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
- ASN degree.
- Illinois state RN License in good standing.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
- BSN degree. Additional Information:
- Ensures effective communication with patients and families through hourly rounding, bedside reporting, and whiteboards.
- Works with ventilated patients to promote early mobility.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Prepares equipment and assists physicians during patient examinations and treatments.
- Responds to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocols.
- Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment, interpreting and recording data from devices such as cardiac monitors, respirators, and oxygen pumps.
