Quick Look ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (Day Shift) in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Location Upper Marlboro, MD Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule/Shift Schedule consists of 3x12 hour shifts on days, from 07:30 to 20:00, with every other weekend required.

Holidays may be required as scheduled.

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit will provide immediate post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients. Responsibilities include patient management for a variety of cardiac conditions and post-operative states, utilizing advanced monitoring equipment and therapies. The unit features a 1:1 patient ratio for the first 12 hours post-surgery, transitioning to a 1:2 ratio thereafter.

This role involves ventilator management, care of patients with IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump), Impella devices, and CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy). Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients post-cardiac surgery. Manage ventilator settings and assess patient respiratory status.

Administer medications and monitor clinical changes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes. Implement infection prevention protocols and maintain aseptic technique.

Conduct assessments and document findings in accordance with facility protocols. Required Experience 1 year of experience in a CVICU or related setting. Extensive experience in managing patients with cardiac conditions, specifically CABG, valve procedures, and post-cardiac surgery care.

Travel experience is required for first-time travelers. Certifications/Licensure Active RN license in Maryland or compact state. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
