Quick Look ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Night Shift) in Salem, Virginia. Location Salem, VA Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule/Shift This position involves working the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Weekend shifts are required, with four weekend shifts in a four-week scheduling period (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days).
The Emergency Department at LewisGale Medical Center is a fast-paced environment with 27 beds and a collaborative team of 50 RNs and 25 medics. The department values a friendly, respectful, and team-oriented approach to patient care. You will work with a diverse patient population, managing high-acuity cases and performing critical interventions.
Responsibilities Perform Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) and administer sepsis interventions. Implement stroke protocol including tPA administration. Assist in central line placement and manage care for psychiatric patients.
Coordinate transfers to other facilities complying with EMTALA regulations. Required Experience Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments. 2-3 years of emergency room experience in high-acuity, fast-paced settings. Certifications/Licensure Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
Preferred: ENPC, NRP, NIH Stroke Scale certification.
