36 hours per week
12-hour day shifts, 11:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. Weekend and Holiday Coverage: As needed Work Setting: On-site emergency department Emergency Room RN Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Iowa At least 1 year of professional nursing experience Emergency department, emergency room, or comparable acute-care nursing experience Demonstrated ability to assess, prioritize, and care for patients with varying levels of acuity Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed Ability to complete required credentialing, competency validation, and compliance requirements Emergency Department Registered Nurse Responsibilities Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments for emergency department patients Prioritize nursing care based on patient acuity and changing clinical conditions Administer medications and treatments safely according to orders and established protocols Monitor patient responses and promptly communicate changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare team Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate timely patient care Provide patient and family education, emotional support, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record Support a safe, organized, and efficient emergency department environment Apply now for this Emergency Room Registered Nurse travel contract and join our healthcare team in Newton, Iowa.
