About the unit:· Number of Beds -30· Type of equipment - IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometer, wound vac, Baxter feeding pump, Lift equipment as appropriate, Pyxis (nurses only)· EMR -Cerner Must have· All RNs must have BLS, ACLS completed prior to end of orientation· PCT/NAs are required to have BLSPreferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.· RNs with ICU/Stepdown experience· Staff with 1 year med/surg experience is preferredList typical procedures performed on unit(s): · IV starts , CVL, Arterial lines· Foley catheters· EKG monitoring· Wound careBest personality Fit:· Able to function in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

We care for all levels of care here at TRH-med/surg to ICU. REQUIRED

· BLSFloating Area(s):· TCUDress Code:· Nurses-Navy blue scrubs; NAs: galaxy/royal blue scrubs Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.· Acute Care utilizes a Team-Based Care model. All care providers, from MDs, nurses, case management, pharmacist and PT/OT meet daily to discuss patient/care/treatments and discharge needs. Weekends and On call· Weekend rotation, 3 Monday and Friday per 6 week scheduling .
