Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) – Inpatient Acute Care Cumming, Georgia Setting: Inpatient Acute Care Profession: Occupational Therapist (OT) Contract: 13 Weeks
Full-Time | Days Inpatient Acute OT Opportunity – Cumming, GA Ardor Health Solutions is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Acute Care travel assignment in Cumming, Georgia . This is a great opportunity for an OT who enjoys the clinical variety of a hospital environment and working with patients through the early stages of recovery. You'll treat adult and geriatric patients following surgery, illness, injury, and other medically complex conditions with an emphasis on improving function, safety, and independence.
Position Highlights Inpatient Acute Care hospital setting 13-week travel assignment Full-time schedule Adult and geriatric population Diverse, medically complex caseload ADL and functional mobility-focused treatment Discharge planning involvement Collaborative interdisciplinary hospital team Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Current Georgia OT license or ability to obtain prior to start Current BLS certification Strong evaluation and clinical decision-making skills Comfortable treating medically complex patients Strong documentation and communication skills Previous inpatient acute care or hospital experience preferred
Complete OT evaluations and reassessments Develop individualized plans of care Address ADLs, functional mobility, strength, endurance, cognition, coordination, and safety Provide therapeutic activities and functional training Educate patients and caregivers Recommend adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies Assist with discharge planning and recommendations for the appropriate next level of care Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing, physicians, and case management Complete timely clinical documentation Why Cumming, GA?
