Nights, 4x12hrs Hours: 48 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 16, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring 1-2 years of experience and an active IA or compact RN license. Details OB GYN unit in a regional health center setting Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 36 or 48 weekly guaranteed hours available Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Floating to other units within the hospital as needed Active labor patient ratio of 1:1 and couplet care ratio of 3:1 Uses intermediate fetal monitoring equipment and Philips Tracevue Meditech EHR system Requirements Active RN license (Iowa or Compact) Current
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE 1-2 years of RN experience required, with consideration for candidates with 1 year experience plus travel experience Must clear Iowa SING background check including criminal and child abuse portions All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared prior to start; instant or statewide searches not accepted Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult) 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates Titers required within last 12 months for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB Additional Information Provide direct patient care within the OB GYN/Labor & Delivery unit Monday or Tuesday start dates accepted Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
