The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team. This role is responsible for setting standards for the level and quality of care, managing and providing patient care activities, and establishing collaborative relationships with healthcare providers and patients to achieve desired outcomes. The Professional Staff Nurse demonstrates a commitment to the community and the nursing profession.
Responsibilities Participates in department-specific quality improvement efforts. Utilizes research and evidence-based practice to enhance clinical care. Applies the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment.
Demonstrates strong communication skills to convey patient conditions. Serves as a full partner on the care team, responding to team member needs. Provides effective teaching to patients and families.
