Job Summary and QualificationsSeeking a Pre op/PACU registered nurse manager in our ambulatory surgery center who provides clinical management and expertise over the Pre op and PACU staff to ensure patients receive high quality, efficient care. As a nurse manager, you will have the opportunity for future growth and upward mobility within the organization.
in this role:You will manage and supervise all pre op and PACU areas of careEstablish and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with your AdministratorYou will ensure that day-to-day operations are conducted in accordance with clinical practice standards and policies of the centerEnsure sufficient staffing daily by notifying your team of scheduling changes You will participate in the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care providedAccessible to your staff by providing breaks, ensuring coverage for meal breaks, late cases and staffing shortagesMonitor your clinical area to ensure materials are provided You will facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical proceduresYou will delegate, coach, mentor and handle conflict resolution with your teamAbility to build trust and gain the respect of your team through effective leadership What you should have for this role:Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or SurgeryActive RN license as required by state of employmentBCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptableACLS required within 30-days of hirePALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire Benefits Surgicenter of Johnson County, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
