Med Surg (RN)

Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) General Medical Surgical Floor Altru Devils Lake Hospital (ND). This position involves providing direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols within a Medical Surgical unit. The role includes assessing patient needs, coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, and supporting patient education and discharge planning to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Job Details Position Description: The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care aligned with organization policies, maintaining skills to deliver age-appropriate care for patients on the assigned unit. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and patient education to facilitate safe discharge. Required

Current Registered Nurse (Nursing) license in North Dakota or a Compact State Agreement, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association, and at least 1 year of nursing experience.

Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Additional Information: The RN will perform daily patient rounds, develop individualized care plans, promptly assess and respond to patient symptoms, and document all clinical observations accurately. The role includes emergency response and discharge planning activities.
