19:00-07:00, 12 Hours Start Date: 12/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Number of Openings: 4 DCH - MS/TELE Acute Care is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) for a contract position in Tuscaloosa, AL. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The successful candidates must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed, work holidays as required, and be available every other weekend.
As a Registered Nurse in this position, you will be working in Med Surg and Telemetry units, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6. You will be expected to deliver compassionate care while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Education and Certification Requirements
Associate degree in nursing Certifications Required: AHA BLS or Red Cross certification Certifications Preferred: ACLS Licenses Required: Registered Nurse State of Alabama or Compact license (No Temp Licenses accepted) Experience Requirements 2 years of overall experience in specialty; however, candidates with 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license will be considered if they have 1 year of recent experience in the field of specialty.
This is a clinical position that is not remote. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used at the facility is Meditech. Nurses are expected to wear solid navy scrubs as part of the dress code.
