We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neuroscience ICU team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICU care, particularly in neurosurgery, and be capable of managing a diverse patient population. This position involves rotating shifts, including both day and night schedules, with every other weekend and some holiday requirements.
Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care to ICU and Intermediate Care (IMC) patients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting vital signs and changes in health status. Utilize Epic software for patient documentation and communication. Participate in telemetry testing and pass required assessments prior to starting.
Qualifications Active RN license for the state of practice. Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Previous experience in an ICU setting is mandatory; neurosurgery experience is preferred.
Must be willing to work with both ICU and IMC patient populations. Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system is required. Schedule Shifts available include: Night shifts: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Day shifts: 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30)
