**Position:** PFS Cash Posting/Collection & Refund Specialist (Onsite) **Contract Length:** 26 weeks **Campus:** Fairmont Rehabilitation and Wellness, 15400 Foothill Blvd., San Leandro, CA 94578 **Shift:** 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, includes a 30-minute break **LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY. NO APPLICATION NEEDED**** **On the submission, please mention the following:** * RTO request * Interview availability * Confirmation that candidate is local to the Bay Area ### Additional Details **Preferred:** 3-5 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare business environment performing cash posting, patient accounting, medical billing, insurance collections, credit balance review and/or refund processing.

Candidate must have a strong background in healthcare revenue cycle and patient accounting. **EPIC back-end experience is required.** Experience with insurance payment posting, payer follow-up, EOB/RA interpretation, account reconciliation, credit balances, refunds, and complex account research is strongly preferred. ### Job Summary The PFS Cash Posting/Collection & Refund Specialist is responsible for supporting payment posting, reconciliation, insurance follow-up and collections, credit balance review, refund research, and resolution of patient account issues for hospital and/or professional services.

The position reviews payer and patient account activity, posts and reconciles payments, researches unidentified or unapplied cash, performs third-party payer follow-up, reviews credit balances and refund requests, and works accounts through resolution using available internal and external resources. ### Qualifications **Required

** * High school diploma or equivalent education. **Minimum

** * Two years of experience performing healthcare cash posting, medical billing, insurance collections, patient accounting, medical accounts receivable, or related revenue cycle functions. * Preferred 3-5 years of hospital or physician revenue cycle experience. * Experience working with insurance and patient payments. * Experience performing payer follow-up and researching outstanding insurance balances. * EPIC back-end experience is required Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications, is qualifying.
