Radius Rule: Contractors must live outside a 50 mile Radius - expires Start Date: 10/5/2026 is the soonest start date *Paramedic Start Dates are once monthly - orientation is in Wausau, WIParamedic - Primary Location: Aspirus Divine Savior/ Portage WI Contract Length: 13 weeksGuaranteed Hours per week: 48 Shift requirement: would be 96hrs per 2 week rotation - 2- 24 hour shifts per week if 24 hour base - or 4 scheduled 12 hour shifts if on 12- hour shift truckWeekend Requirement: every other weekend as needed Scheduled rotation with weekend days included on/offHolidays as needed and availableFloat Requirement: may need to float to other locations in north and central regions based on staffing levels on scheduled work days to maximize critical needsOn Call Requirement: No on-call requirements Required certifications needed: Wisconsin EMT Paramedic Certification, Active WI DL in good standing, AHA or ARC PALS, BLS and ACLS, and PALS, WI CCP ( Critical Care Paramedic ) Endorsement Preferred.

MI Paramedic Certification required. (if candidate has had NREMT-P, is eligible for reciprocity to obtain MI Paramedic licensure) Minimum

One year paramedic experience required- preferred 3 yrs

High School graduate and successful completion of an EMS paramedic program. Charting system utilized is the Zoll ems Charts platform training will be provided Crew configurations may be mix of EMT/Medic, Medic/Medic, RN/EMT, RN/Medic - depending on daily staffingSummary of position: Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients. Provides ongoing assessment and required documentation of patient care.

Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition and treatment, as appropriate.

Initiate and implement interventions based on protocols. Assists with treatments and tests ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties after demonstration of clinical competency and in accordance with hospital and professional scope of practice.

Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient under the direction, and in collaboration with a physician and/or Registered Nurse. Unit skillset: Collaborative teamwork skills within an interdisciplinary group focused on patient care. Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment.

Exhibits strong decision-making skills. Ability to perform while under stress. Ability to recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.
