Pharmacist Director

The Director of Pharmacy manages the medication use process through the planning, organization, management, and direction of the operations, clinical activities and staff of the Pharmacy Department. Provides direction of the department through the development, implementation, evaluation and modification of the hospitals pharmacy practice to align with best practices within the professionEnsures legal and regulatory compliance with federal, state and local laws and accrediting bodiesRecruits, hires, develops and retains competent pharmacy staffCreates the annual budget and submits capital expenditures requests per policyReviews and revises Policy and Procedures annually or as required by hospital bylawsPerforms related duties as required.

Required:

5 years of pharmacy experience; 3 years working in hospital pharmacy managementEducation: Pharm. D. or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Licensure/Certifications: State of Tennessee Pharmacy LicensePreferred:

Pharmacy residency or fellowship training

Master's Degree preferred
