Ensures that Physical Therapy services are administered and completed in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. Provides physical therapy evaluations and treatments for hospital based inpatient and/or outpatient services, as well as associated clinical documentation. Maintains specific service delivery standards which address commitment to service, customer satisfaction, ongoing evaluation of customer expectations, integration with quality process, communication and interaction standards, turn-around time and information processing standards, corporate compliance requirements, and physical amenities/environment of care.
Education/ExperienceMinimum Required:Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy, receiving applicable degree in physical therapy study with Bachelors or Master’s Degree or equivalent. Preferred:Master’s or Doctorate Degree; Previous physical therapy experience in a hospital-based setting. License/CertificationMinimum Required:Possession of a current license or eligibility to be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of New York.
CPR certification within the first 3 months of hirePreferred:Not Applicable Work EnvironmentENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:Work is performed in a department which consists of several clinical rooms and offices, and sometimes requires working in close quarters with other employees. These rooms are all air conditioned as well as heated. Work may also be performed in patient rooms throughout the hospitals or at an offsite location, as determined by contractual services.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:As needed, gloves, mask, gown, other personal protective equipment, as per blood and body fluid and isolation precautions. Off-site locations may require safety goggles, ear plugs, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, or other personal protective equipment required by the off-site location.
