ER RN - Nights - Jennie StuartNO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE) Contract Length: 13 weeksStart: ASAPGuaranteed Hours: 36Primary location: Hopkinsville, KYShift Requirement: 12hr Nights 7p-7aFloat Requirement: NONEOn Call/Call Back Requirement: 1-12 hr. call shift every other week. Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every 3rd or 4th weekend; 1 Fall/Winter HolidayRequired Certs to be attached upon submittal: Active RN license/compact eligibility, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS required.

TNCC preferred. Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required. Must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced ED environment and caring for patients across all acuity levels.

Charting

Epic experience preferred. Candidate must have recent electronic medical record/charting experience and be able to quickly adapt to department workflows. Patient Population: Pediatric, adult, and geriatric emergency patients across all acuity levels, including medical, surgical, cardiac, respiratory, behavioral health, and trauma presentations.

Skillset: Strong ED assessment, triage, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills. Must be comfortable managing high-acuity and critically ill patients, including cardiac emergencies, stroke, sepsis, respiratory failure, trauma, behavioral health emergencies, and pediatric patients. IV initiation, medication administration, cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and management of multiple patients with competing priorities required.

Looking for a hard-working, resilient, team-oriented RN who manages change well, communicates effectively, and works well with staff, providers, patients, and families. Must be flexible and willing to assist where needed based on department volume and acuity. Unit Information: Fast-paced Emergency Department caring for approximately 90 patients per day.

Travelers will work as part of the core ED team and should be prepared to function independently following completion of department orientation. Assignments and patient placement may change throughout the shift based on volume, acuity, and department needs. Unit Strengths: Collaborative team environment with experienced ED nurses and providers.

Strong teamwork and communication with a focus on patient safety, efficient throughput, and supporting one another during periods of high volume and acuity. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closedFacility can cancel up to 36hrs within a 13 week period.
