Number of Beds - 6
Number of Staff - 15
Type of staff:
o Day Shift - core staffing of 2 NICU RNs and 1 NNP on site 24/7. Neonatologists on call 24/7 o Night Shift - Core staffing of 2 NICU RNs and 1 NNP on site 24/7. Neonatologist on call 24/7
Patient Ratios - 3:1 for feeder growers. Vented babies 1:1
Types of equipment - Giraffe Omnibeds, STAR GE resuscitation for transport, Giraffe with Shuttle transport,
EMR - CPN and Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Minimum 1-year of current NICU RN acute care experience
BLS and NRP
Level 2 NICU experience
Infant resuscitation experience is a requirement of our facility Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Level 3 and or level 4 experience
Experience with Eat Sleep Console for babies with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
Admissions and initial stabilization experience in the delivery room List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Assisting NNP with umbilical line placement, intubation assist, LP assist, circumcision.
