MaineGeneral is hiring a Surgical Technologist to join our team at the Thayer Center for Health in Waterville — and new graduates are encouraged to apply! Position: Surgical Technologist Location: Thayer Center for Health, Waterville

Part-time (32 hours/week)

Days (M-F) **An early acceptance incentive of $4000 awaits qualified new graduate Surgical Technologist candidates** Candidates are encouraged to apply at least 6 weeks before their graduation date; however, some exceptions may be made based on program needs and timing. Offer letters should be signed within 1 week of receipt. The incentive is paid in full in your first paycheck as a Surgical Technologist.

Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.

Passes instruments to the physician during surgery. Continually accounts for the number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery. Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.

What You Bring:

Completion of an accredited post-secondary Surgical Technology program. New Graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.

Clinical Skills & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver high-quality patient care, work collaboratively within a surgical team, and provide exceptional customer service. Commitment to Excellence: A dedication to maintaining high standards of patient care and professionalism, contributing to a positive, supportive surgical environment. Professional Growth: Interest in ongoing learning and staying current with advances in surgical technology, techniques, and best practices.

Basic Life Support (BLS): Required within 6 months of hire.
