Requirements - IL License needed before start (Please provide proof it would be obtained before start date - 1 year of experience in outpatient setting - First Time Travel Okay Purpose The following
- includes, but is not limited to, duties that will be required of a Physical Therapist. Duties/Responsibilities outpatient orthopedic experience and are familiar with treating more than 1 patient at a time. Productivity expectations are to arrive 60 visits in a 40-hour week.
- Evaluate and treat various physical therapy patients – per physician’s referral or direct access
- Establish and supervise physical therapy assistants following a PT plan of care
- Become competent in, evaluate, and treat injured workers. Understand basic ACOMP systems for establishing a plan of care for safe Return to Work
- Become competent in and utilize modalities and exercise equipment present in the facility
- Become competent in and perform various post offer testing such as WorkSTEPS or APET
- Become competent in and perform Work Hardening Evaluations or Functional Capacity Evaluations
- Become competent in and perform ergonomic evaluations, or job analysis
- Supervise the performance of cleaning or organizational tasks, directing PT technicians
- Answer phones, schedule patient visits, and take referrals as needed
- Understand and properly utilize billing codes for various payer types
- Update rehab nurses on a weekly basis regarding patient progress
- Maintain communication with referring physicians via timely evaluation notes or progress notes
- Maintain all licensure requirements for the state of employment (License MUST be in good standing)
- All employee information must remain up to date for limited liability insurance coverage
- Maintain a professional attitude towards patients, doctors, industry reps, case managers, insurance reps, and any other contact of Apex
- Assist the marketing team with business development, developing relationships with referral sources, or educational programs
- Market to industries, doctors, industry reps, case managers, and any other necessary contact when patient load allows
- Actively participate in community events or organization representing Apex Network PT
- Demonstrate a willingness to perform additional tasks outside this job description for the good of Apex Network
