Licensure
Paramedic preferred.
Certifications
✓Virginia Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate or Paramedic required.
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
✓ACLS required.
✓PALS and Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) Level II or higher required to operate a vehicle within 90 days of hire.
✓Physical Demands – Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, climbing (ladder, steps) and driving.
Education
✓High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Qualifications
✓No experience required. Advanced life support experience preferred.
✓Valid Driver’s License (VADL) and at least 2 years of driving experience required.
✓Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills
✓Attention to detail and ability to write legibly
✓Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs.
✓Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen.
