The Assistant Nurse Manager serves as an adjunct to the Nurse Manager or Nursing Director by providing supervision and clinical expertise to staff in his/her assigned area. Assists the Nurse Manager in hiring and firing of nursing personnel, conducting periodic employee evaluations, orientation of new employees, and performance improvement activities. Assists the Nurse Manager in devising and managing the departmental budget(s).
Facilitates positive customer service and patient-centered care on the nursing unit. #ACDP QualificationsRequired
Associate degree in Nursing, must have a BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position. Preferred
BSN Required Licensure/Certifications:Licensed to practice nursing in the State of FloridaBLS from the American Heart AssociationACLS from the American Heart AssociationPALS from the American Heart Association Required
3-5 years - ED RN experience
