- Perform and document patient intake, including vital signs and medical historyPrepare patients and charts for provider visitsAssist providers with Menopause Care exams, procedures, and treatments within scopeAdminister medications and immunizations as orderedPerform venipuncture, specimen collection, and in-office lab testingTrack and report lab results; complete required quality control documentationAccurately document care and code visits, labs, and procedures in the EMRSupport referrals, scheduling, registration, and check-out as neededReinforce patient education and self-care instructions using clear languageCollaborate with providers and team members to improve workflows and patient experience What We're Looking ForEducation: High School Diploma or GED, required.Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including:
- CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA)
- RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
- American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement, required.
Previous work in a medical office, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
