Clinical Pharmacist – PRN | UF Health Central FloridaJoin UF Health Central Florida as a PRN Clinical Pharmacist and become part of a collaborative pharmacy team focused on safe, effective, and patient-centered medication management. The Clinical Pharmacist provides pharmacy services for patients within assigned clinical areas and works closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
This role is responsible for reviewing medication therapy, identifying and resolving medication-related concerns, and supporting optimal patient outcomes. Key ResponsibilitiesReview medication orders for appropriate indication, dosing, interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic effectivenessProvide clinical pharmacy recommendations to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionalsMonitor medication therapy and help identify opportunities to improve patient outcomesSupport safe medication preparation, dispensing, and administration practicesServe as a clinical pharmacy resource for the interdisciplinary care teamAttendance and involvement in varied medical staff committees/meetingAssist with medication safety, quality improvement, and pharmacy-related initiativesAdverse drug reaction reporting and follow-up, therapeutic interchanges, parenteral nutrition monitoring, pharmacokinetics dosing and follow-up, medication dosing and follow-up (ex. coumadin, antibiotics) and IV to PO recommendations.
