Licensure
✓Virginia and/or West Virginia Pharmacy License required (or acquired within 90 days of hire) based on location of work assignment.
Education
✓Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited program required.
✓Successful completion of PGY-1 residency program
Successful completion of PGY-2 residency program in emergency medicine or critical care preferred
Qualifications
✓Advanced knowledge of pharmacotherapy and emergency/critical care medication management.
✓Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills in high-acuity environments.
✓Ability to evaluate medication orders for safety, appropriateness, and therapeutic outcomes.
✓Effective interdisciplinary communication with physicians, nurses, and care teams.
✓Ability to identify, resolve, and prevent medication-related issues, including safety events.
✓Ability to prioritize and manage workload in a fast-paced, high-stress setting.
✓Ability to develop and implement clinical protocols, performance improvements, and staff education.
