About the role

MedStar Union Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our hospital-based Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Service.

What you’ll do
Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluationsPerform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of hospitalized patients
Assess and manage psychiatricAssess and manage psychiatric symptoms and behavioral health concerns in the setting of acute medical and surgical illness
Provide consultation regarding diagnosisProvide consultation regarding diagnosis, medication management, and treatment planning
Evaluate and treat patientsEvaluate and treat patients experiencing delirium, agitation, mood symptoms, psychosis, anxiety, and other psychiatric or behavioral concerns
Develop individualized treatment recommendationsDevelop individualized treatment recommendations in collaboration with the patient's medical team
