Certifications
✓Certification is required in Ultrasound physics and at least one other ultrasound specialty module.
✓Addendums are required for 0153 Nurse Leader, 0249 Registry RN, 0252 Registered Nurse, 0235 Advanced Registered Nurse, and 0236 Expert Registered Nurse.
Education
✓Satisfactory completion of formal sonography training.
Qualifications
✓Knowledge of imaging the various anatomical structures of the human body.
✓Must be able to lift 50 lbs., 100 lbs. shared lifting.
✓Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
✓Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications.
✓Some weekend hours may be required at times.
✓Demonstrates ability to multi‐task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
✓Analytical skills to be able to identify technologists needs and adapt training appropriately.
✓Strong training skills.
✓Team player.
✓Willingness to travel within health system.
✓Passion and vision to support Parkview Mission.
✓Ability to effectively troubleshoot equipment, and improvise solutions as needed.
Five years’ experience preferred.

About the role

Operates Ultrasound equipment and performs diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department policy and procedures. Operates within the "Standards of Ethics" of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Works together with physicians to perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures.
