About the Job MedStar Medical Group II, LLC d/b/a MedStar Medical Group has multiple openings for the full-time position of Family Medicine Physician based at MedStar Health: Primary Care at Wilkens Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Job Duties: Provide medical care and consultation to adult patients and children ages 12+. Perform complete medical history and physical exam on patients.
Facilitate coordination and development of a comprehensive and individual plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and multidisciplinary team. Order appropriate lab and diagnostic procedures. Make referrals to specialist physicians.
Prepare written prescription orders, medications and controlled substances under the rules and regulations of the State of Maryland as well as federal law. Coordinate patient and family education with nursing staff, ancillary staff and other resources. Follow all established policies and requirements for maintenance and signing of medical records.
Position requires a Doctor of Medicine (M. D.) degree or foreign equivalent required. Position requires completion of 36 months of ABFM-recognized and ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.
Position requires a valid Maryland medical license and certification by American Board of Family Medicine. Location: MedStar Health: Primary Care at Wilkens Medical Center, 4660 Wilkens Ave., Ste. 100, Baltimore, MD 21229. Salary: $163,051.00 - $245,000.00 / year
