Job OverviewFairview is looking to hire a Housekeeping Aide to join our team at Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN. This is a day-shift position working 32 hours per bi-weekly pay period. The Housekeeping Aide performs cleaning duties to help maintain a clean, sanitary, orderly, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Week 1:Wednesday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Saturday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Sunday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Week 2:Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. ResponsibilitiesPerforms cleaning assignments per department procedures and protocolsUses proper chemical dilution rationsFollows infection control practices and proceduresFollows proper procedure for assigned areaCompletes assignments in a timely mannerUses proper equipment and supplies for taskReplenishes suppliesProperly handles soiled and clean linens in assigned areasProperly handles and disposes of biohazardous and non-biohazardous wasteUses good body mechanicsUses safe work practices i.e. floor signs, use of gloves, follow hazard signs/symbolsRemains flexible to change assignments as neededContributes process improvement ideas/suggestionsProperly documents work assignmentsDemonstrates proper emergency and security responseTakes immediate action as required to assist with emergency codesUnlocks and secures access to building as directedCleans emergency spills as neededDemonstrates proper use and care of equipmentUses proper equipment for assignment/taskProperly cares for equipment and acts for preventive maintenanceReports malfunctioning equipmentUses safety precautionsCustomer ServiceUses appropriate verbal and nonverbal greetingsDemonstrates a willing and helpful attitudeDemonstrates respect for customer’s need for privacyPerforms activities in a respectful, courteous, and responsive mannerTransports furniture and equipment as requestedReports mechanical failures or negative conditions to appropriate supervisorInterpersonal Relations with Healthcare TeamOffers and values constructive criticismResolves issues in a respectful mannerUses first party communicationDemonstrates respect for othersPreferred QualificationsHigh School diploma or GEDPrevious Housekeeping/Environmental Service experience Benefit OverviewFairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
