About the role

Duties Description Capital District Psychiatric Center (CDPC) is recruiting a Human Resources Specialist 1 to performance a variety Human Resources functions including recruitment, employee benefits, health and safety, and labor relations. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply. As a Human Resources Specialist 1, you will work in CDPC's Human Resource Office, and your duties will include:
Preparing employment transactions in accordance with Civil Service Law
Reviewing and preparing requests for new positions, reclassifications, and increases in minimum hiring rates
Developing recruitment strategies
Corresponding with potential applicants about job opportunities
Counseling employees as needed
Overseeing the administration of time and attendance rules
