About the role

The Lab Specimen Processor plays a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations by ensuring biological specimens are accurately received, processed, and prepared for testing and analysis. This position is responsible for maintaining specimen integrity through proper handling, labeling, storage, and documentation while following established laboratory procedures and safety standards.

Receive, verify, and logReceive, verify, and log incoming specimens according to established laboratory procedures
Prepare specimens for testingPrepare specimens for testing through centrifugation, aliquoting, labeling, and other processing activities
Maintain specimen storage areasMaintain specimen storage areas and ensure proper handling and environmental conditions
Accurately document specimen informationAccurately document specimen information and processing activities in laboratory information systems
Follow laboratory safety, infectionFollow laboratory safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance standards at all times
