Augustine, and Nocatee locations, making a meaningful difference every day while collaborating with a team that values energy, problem-solving, and exceptional patient care. Under the supervision of Medical Director, Provider or Nurse Supervisor, the LPN utilizes the nursing process to assist in the provision of ambulatory health care services that reflect the ambulatory health care providers' philosophy and standard of ambulatory health and nursing care of assigned patients.

ResponsibilitiesPerforms physical examination preparations, point of care testing, vital signs, vaccines, phlebotomy, drug administration including injections, prescription verification with physician’s orders, minor surgery assists, and bio-hazard waste disposal. Fulfills environmental responsibilities including restocking and cleaning exam/procedure rooms to maintain infection control, cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program and keeping appropriate records.

Fulfills clerical responsibilities including sending/receiving patient medical records, prior authorizations, referral information, etc., completing forms/requisitions, verifying insurance coverage and patient demographics, and managing and updating charts to ensure that information is complete and filed appropriately. Fulfills patient care responsibilities including scheduling and patient flow, assisting patients for exam preparation, collecting patient history, charting, and relaying instructions to patients.

Adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, quality control methods, and the MA scope of practice. QualificationsEducation and Experience

High School Diploma or GED, and Vocational Training; Graduation from an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program. One year of direct patient care experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred. Experience with rooming patients, drawing up injections, and/or phone triage preferred.

Experience with coordinating and obtaining documentation for surgery scheduling preferred. Required certification and license: Licensed to practice practical nursing in the state of FloridaBLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
