A professional multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice including administrative and clinical procedures under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician. Will be required to travel to provide support to associated clinics. ResponsibilitiesRooming patients and taking vitals Charting Front office and administrative supportAssisting providers with procedures Answering patient callsAssisting with surgery scheduling Completing insurance verifications and prior authorizations QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.
Must be graduates of an approved Medical Assistant program. One (1) year of Medical Assistant experience preferred. Necessary SkillsAbility to communicate both orally and in writing.
Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks. Knowledge of ambulatory health care or related health care fields. Skilled in conflict resolution.
Ability to use computers. Required Licensure/CertificationsMust obtain Medical Assistant certification within 6 months of hire/transfer into the position. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
