ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Director and direct supervision of the Charge RN, the Monitor Technician will perform the following duties:Admit and discharge patients from the cardiac monitoring system Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry for assigned patients.

Communicate cardiac rhythm changes to nursing staff promptly and accurately, as requested or when clinically indicated. Print and interpret cardiac rhythm strips in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ensure rhythm strips are forwarded to the Unit Secretary for appropriate filing.

Manage telemetry equipment and alarm settings in compliance with departmental policies. Apply critical thinking skills to effectively monitor patients, recognize rhythm abnormalities, and communicate findings. Enter billing information for telemetry services and other applicable patient charges accurately and timely.

Maintain compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and patient monitoring standards.
