Leads and participates in strategic planning for the department to achieve goals, regulatory compliance, and objectives consistent with organizational vision. Develops relationships with leadership to deploy quality cleaning methodologies consistent with care standards. Supervises the operations of personnel to ensure smooth, efficient, and courteous service to customers, partners, and team members.
Creates, manages, and analyzes annual budgets for revenue, labor, and non-labor expenses, optimizing staffing effectiveness. Establishes and maintains customer satisfaction to ensure the highest quality service. Provides consistent improvement in patient satisfaction survey results.
Administers required customer surveys and responds with a plan of action for areas not meeting expectations. Executes programs to meet unique needs under administrative sponsors’ direction. Plans, organizes, and delegates activities for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the department.
Develops and oversees the implementation of policies, procedures, and standards aligning department operations with regulatory guidelines. Identifies and utilizes processes and resources that support optimal delivery of data and information to leadership and staff. Manages employees by hiring, terminating, directing, monitoring, and correcting performance to ensure adequate quality of work.
Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have operational, functional, and strong business acumen skills and knowledge of the Director EVS, Patient Transport, & Volunteer Services processes, including the clinical and non-clinical areas. [Required] Assures current operations are compliant with government and regulatory agency guidelines. Computer proficiency required with basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). [Required] Must have proven operational experience at the managerial level. [Required] Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and general management skills, must be service-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives. [Required] Ability to maintain productivity goals and supply costs according to budgetary targets. [Required] Ability to manage the day-to-day activities in supervising EVS and Patient Transport leaders and staff including mentoring, training, hiring, terminations, orienting, and evaluating performance. [Required] Knowledge about best practice environmental cleanliness and patient transportation protocols.
